Results from Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust’s 60th AGM
The 60th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust took place this evening, Thursday 5 December.
All eligible members were invited to participate in the AGM by attending in person or appointing a proxy. Members were also invited to vote for the Election of Trustees.
Approval of minutes
The minutes from the 59th Annual General meeting and EGM on 2nd May 2024 were approved.
Financial Accounts
The Financial accounts were received and adopted Grant Thornton was appointed as auditors for the Trust.
Election of Trustees
Durrell members voted for the following candidates to join the board
New Trustees
- Andrew Cunningham (774 votes)
- Niall Husbands (700 votes)
- Richard Prosser (680 votes)
- Kirsten Pullen (755 votes)
- John Regan (733 votes)
Re-elected Trustees
- Matthew Hatchwell (749 votes)
- Gary Clark (748 votes)
- Sarah Cook (697 votes)
The following Trustees remain on the Board
During the evening, we formally accepted the retirement of Simon Dickson, Jonas Muller and James Cretney and thank them for the contribution they have made to the Trust during their time on the Board.
We would also like to thank all of the candidates that put themselves forward this year. We were incredibly fortunate to have so many exceptional people interested in joining our Board.
Amendments to the Rules of the Trust
All proposed Trust rule changes were approved.
Resolution
A resolution was also put forward by members for consideration at the AGM. The resolution was as follows: That the Chairman of the Trust must be resident in Jersey, residing in Jersey with immediate effect.
This resolution was voted against and was therefore not passed.
