Description

Go behind the scenes and spend time learning about our cheeky meerkats. Our experienced staff tell you how they live, what’s special about them and how Durrell looks after them and other animals. This experience will last for 45 minutes.

During your encounter you will:

• Help feed the meerkats an afternoon snack
• Hear personal insights into how they live from our experienced and passionate staff
• Have exclusive photo opportunities
• Find out about Durrell’s mission to save species from extinction

Please note: 

• This experience is provided at Jersey Zoo, Channel Islands
• Each booking is for one person and includes admission to the zoo
• This encounter lasts for 45 minutes
• This encounter is for a maximum of 4 people per session
• Your experience may be shared with other guests 
• This encounter is suitable for children aged 4 and over
• All children under 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult 
• Your visit may be altered at short notice should animal welfare concerns be raised 
• Animal handling is not permitted
• Proximity and contact with the animals are at the keeper’s discretion on the day 
• Cancellation with fewer than 7 days' notice will incur a 100% cancellation fee 
• We may use the details you enter during the purchasing process to contact you about the experience afterwards 
• This ‘Meerkat Encounter’ package is valid for 12 calendar months from the date of purchase
