Simon Dickson
Trustee
Simon is a scientist by training, studying plant and animal biology as an undergraduate and post-graduate at Newcastle University. His first job was at Northumberland Wildlife Trust before moving on to fundraising in a warm office! Simon has worked at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, the Natural History Museum, Eden Project and UNICEF. He is now a fundraising consultant.
Simon is passionate about the environment and conservation. He became interested in Durrell’s work reading Gerry’s books as a teenager. While not on the same scale as Jersey, Simon has a mini ‘zoo’ at home featuring dart frogs, lizards and stick insects!
